Everybody has goals. Maybe you want to run that half marathon coming up in six months, or you want to finish up your degree and go for a promotion. Whatever you are working towards it is important to continually take steps towards success and find ways to improve yourself along the way.
Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. You might reach an unexpected roadblock, or a task you need to complete might be much more difficult than you expected. When this happens, it’s easy to get discouraged, and lose your motivation. It’s so important that you don’t let this happen. Every step that you take towards reaching a goal doesn’t just get you closer to accomplishing something. It’s also a step towards self improvement.
No matter if you’re a salesperson, manager, or a regular Joe, your ability to attract & influence others is key to your success. In this episode I share from the book, Emotional Intelligence the 13 qualities that have been found to influence and attract others.
Like many entrepreneurs one of my favorite shows to watch is The Shark Tank, where hopeful entrepreneurs can present their product(s), good(s), or service(s) in front of a shark in order to try and win an investment from them. There are beautiful, and heart warming success stories, and there are examples of absolute defeat and what not to do. In either case there are great lessons to learn.
In an episode of the shark tank filmed back in 2010 an entrepreneur from a rural area of NC came on to show his collapsable truck rack. He was committed not to necessarily build a company, but to try and create a manufacturing job for his local community. Hit by the terrible economy his efforts were heart warming, admirable, and inspirational. So much so it brought just about every Shark to tears, even Mr. Wonderful Kevin O’leary. He unfortunately was only given a lot of encouragement instead of an investment, but in this episode I share the great advice given.
In a live call session last night I had a rep ask me if I was a blogger. This question really made me think, as I never considered myself one even though I’ve had one for over 5 years. Here are the 3 reasons why I consider myself a blogger now, and why I think every entrepreneur should have a blog.

As we begin 2016 many people have started making goals, resolutions, and well wishes for the new year. Unfortunately the statistics of those who actually will keep their resolutions are very bleak. Even more so is when you start move away from all of the new year hype, and just look at goal setting in general you will see that many, if not most people don’t really ever reach the goals they set. Why?
After coaching for several years now, and working with entrepreneurs and business professionals I’ve noticed a pattern of 3 major walls that have to be overcome to reach any goal, no matter how big or small. In this podcast I cover those 3 walls that separate many people from realizing their goal.
Ask anyone and they will tell you they want to be successful. Ask the same person what they focus on, and 9 out of 10 will say anything but the 1 thing they need to in order to be successful. In this webinar I cover how to focus and get more done.
