The Story of the Old Watch
A father, before he died, said to his son: “This is the watch that your grandfather gave me, it’s more than 100 years old. Before I give it to you, I want you to go to the watch shop on the first street, and tell him I want to sell it. See how much they will offer you for it”.
The son went to the watch shop as his father had asked. About thirty minutes later he came back to his father and said, “The watchmaker offered to pay me $5 because he said it’s old and has too many scratches.”
His father then asked him to go to the coffee shop for some reason. The son went to the coffees shop and after an hour or so, he returned and said: “The coffee shop owner offered me $5 for it as well father.”
“Now go to the museum and show the watch to the curator. He reluctantly went to the museum. But when he came back this time he was very happy! “They offered me a million dollars for this time-piece.”
“I wanted you to see that when you’re in the right place, people will value you. You’re always in control of where you end up. If you stay where you are not valued, it is completely your fault!
